Erin Molan has recalled the dramatic scenes at her Sydney home after she fell down the stairs and broke her arm and hand last month.
The 36-year-old Channel Nine star fell while getting up to give her 18-month-old daughter Eliza a bottle at 1am.
Speaking to The Steve Price Show on Wednesday, Erin explained how she woke up surrounded by police, ambulance officers and firefighters, following the fall.
Erin said she ‘slipped at the top and landed at the bottom’ of a staircase, only to regain consciousness surrounded by emergency service personnel.
‘So I came to being surrounded by Police, Police Rescue, ambos, even firies [firefighters] because the staircase was so narrow they struggled to get me out,’ Erin said.
Erin added she suffered a ‘clean break’ in her upper arm, with scans showing it is ‘healing well’ but she is still suffering with immense pain.
The mother of one went on to compare the pain to childbirth.
‘I can say with all confidence that the last three weeks has hurt more than having a baby. It’s one of the most painful breaks you can do. That upper part of your arm,’ she said.
The TV star has been prescribed powerful painkiller Endone, and is expected to make a full recovery with full use of her arm and shoulder.
Erin said she would be back on 2GB this weekend, and her ‘terminator’ brace will be removed on Tuesday next week.
She is scheduled to return to Channel Nine News the following Friday, November 15, but she admitted that not working doesn’t ‘sit well’ with her.
The break comes just months after Erin announced that she would be taking time off work after fracturing her hand.
The blonde beauty shared a photo of her cast to Instagram in April and said she would be taking time off from her work commitments that weekend.
