Kyle Sandilands has sensationally claimed that Lucy Liu once flirted with him while visiting Sydney to promote Charlie’s Angels in the early 2000s.
The radio host joked about ‘knocking back’ the Hollywood star, now 50, during a segment on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday.
Lucy, who played Alex Munday in Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, allegedly gave Kyle, now 48, a seductive look during their interview.
Lucy was 32 when she starred alongside Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore as the crime-fighting trio in 2000’s Charlie’s Angels and its 2003 sequel, Full Throttle.
While discussing Lucy on Friday’s show, Kyle interrupted co-host Jackie Henderson to reminisce on their interview with the actress almost two decades ago.
‘Do you remember when she gave me the look? You were the one who pointed it out,’ he said.
‘Yeah, I do. That one I will absolutely give you. She gave you a look,’ Jackie agreed.
Kyle then added smugly: ‘Lucy Liu wanted me bad, but I didn’t take her… I can’t take them all!
‘The height of her career, she looked at old KS and thought, “Hey, how you doin’?”‘
A reboot of Charlie’s Angels is being released later this month, starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.
Lucy has previously expressed her support for the new film, telling Entertainment Today it was ‘wonderful’ to watch.
Charlie’s Angels will be released in Australian cinemas on November 14
